Sunday talk.

Sunday.

Attended a talk by Prof Khairudin  Aljunied.
We had 'CCA' on Sunday. The CCA was a talk -_-. Lol. But I don't mind sitting for 2 hours rather than running around or what. haha,. yes I am that lazy.

So, there was no class that day.
Thus I ended quite early :D
HEHE.

The talk was good.
He said, to be successful, u need to READ.
READ and WRITE.
Even if you do not have PHD, MASTERS (or whatever qualification), the more you should write, because it will spark interest to read more and do research.

So, the problem with us, is, WE, MALAYS tend to keep ourself busy by EATING rather than READING.
that is what he said, and it is absolutely true. haha.
seriously, that is why the Malays are always behind.
when we eat too much, our brain becomes much slower, our body becomes lazy. and SLEEP becomes a fav routine to do.

and he said something about the society is too concerned about "PAPER QUALIFICATION"
and that means having diploma, degree, masters, phd..blah3.
we study so hard for the qualification, AND yet when we graduate, we forgot everything.
which is true. Like 70% of what I learnt in Poly (eg), dissapeared somewhere inside my brain.
I forgot the point that he was trying to get across when he was talking abt this.

It is smtg abt Ilmu (knowledge). HAHA. If i remember i will update here again. hehe

and he also talked abt POLIGAMYYYYYYY.
haha. the most controversial and hated subject amongst women.
My Ustaz once said, we should not hate Polygamy, because Allah SWT makes it permissible (in the Al-Quran). This is to safeguard single woman (unmarried/divorced) from fitnah and to ensure that their needs are fulfilled.

By right, man is allowed to marry up till 4 ONLY WHEN:

1) He has the capacity to do so. (Financially/Physically)
2) Able to treat his wives EQUALLY. (in terms of the basic needs)

The reason why women are not open to Polygamy, because firstly, the society's mindset is already moulded in a way that, when they hear Polygamy, all the negative thoughts emerged.

1) Makcik-makcik gossips and talks : " Eh kau tk tau jaga laki kau eh" / "laki  kau gatal"..etc.
2) Ego. Women refuse to share their husbands. In fear that their husband will no longer love her/less attention once he marries another woman.

AND i do not blame us women, the reason why Polygamy sounds like a bad idea, is because of men itself. MOST of the men who marries again, marries for the sake of their nafsu (sexual needs). They forgot their responsibilities towards their wives. They take lightly of marriage, forgetting that they will be accounted for their wives and their children's actions. And at last everybody suffers.

For me personally, if my husband wants to marry another woman,
no matter how hard (emotionally) it is, i will give green light.
Only when he is ready to carry another set of burden on his shoulders.
